The PlayStation 5 might be the new kid on the gaming block, but it remains largely out of stock, and the small list of mature games isn’t for everyone. Nintendo’s Switch Lite on the other hand has huge appeal and a massive library of games for all ages.
The Switch Lite is the all-portable version of the console, ideal for commutes, holidays, or just a quick game before bed. And while it might not be as powerful as the new PlayStation and Xbox, the graphics are still impressive enough to wow gamers, with titles available in stores or via the Nintendo eShop for digital purchase.
The Switch Lite is available in yellow, grey, and turquoise, and the capacitive 5.5-inch LCD touch screen with a 1280x720 resolution shows off games in crisp detail. As well as famous names like Mario and Luigi, Sonic and Zelda, the Switch is also home to a booming indie game scene for games with distinctive stories and visuals.
There are a few older Switch games that the Switch Lite is not compatible with, but with a library of over 2,000 games there is plenty to enjoy. For younger players, the unit is solidly built of plastic, but the screen covering is liable to scratching, so a case or protector may be in order.
