Details
4K screens are all about the detail, vibrancy and beauty of a smooth image in perfect motion. Hitachi delivers on all fronts with its mid-price 2021 model that offers a beautifully realistic 4K HDR picture.
The image is improved with high-dynamic range (HDR)10+ technology, for vivid colour in hyper-realistic detail. And there’s plenty of content of offer with 3 HDMI ports for set-top boxes of game consoles, and support for all the usual content apps including Netflix, which supports HDR10, and iPlayer, with some shows supporting the technology.
Within the slim unit is support for USB video playback, a Freeview Play digital tuner, with a quad-core processor powering the interface and apps. There are also 2 USB ports for digital content and component and composite sockets for legacy devices.
There is also built-in Wi-Fi and DLNA compatibility to stream from your mobile devices, an Ethernet connection to link to your network. But the screen is the star of the show creating images that make previous generation models look pale by comparison. Making this an ideal model if you are in need of an upgrade but don’t fancy the £1,000+ price tag of some models.
Summary
Pros
- Gorgeous screen with the latest image technology for vibrant entertainment.
- Great price for a 2021 model
Cons
- Audio power isn’t great and Hitachi recommends a sound bar or surround sound system for the full experience.
